The District of Muskoka is referred to as "cottage country".  Muskoka is a summer destination for cottagers and is one of the most searched Canadian destinations for vacation rentals.  The area is well recognized by large mansion-like summer home estates that have been passed down from generation to generation that are found along the shores of Muskoka's 3 largest lakes.
